I think the WiFi sharing is ad-hoc only, I've read all the pages of those threads and it seems that peoples work notebooks will not let them connect to ad-hoc networks.
Fun little app though, couldn't figure out how to get my PSP to see it, even though it has ad-hoc (it just wants me to specify the channel and auto, 1, 6, 11; and then does nothing!) Win7 machines find it flawlessly (You'll have 3 computer icons tethered together on the PC) Vista had a few hickups (it retained my WiFi info long after I stopped the app)
