OK I bricked my phone lasy night trying to flash my first ROM. I mistakenly flashed a GSM ROM onto my CDMA Sprint Touch Pro2. Fortunately, I was able to recover and now am running MightyROMs WAR. In the third post on his ROM thread, under "Important Touch Pro2 Links", he recommends flashing a new radio.
Great. I really need it.
I do not get reception at my house at all. I called Sprint and they said that I am in a "dead zone" I have three towers in a triangle around me that apparently are all facing away from me. They said that they have had several complaints from other users in my area. The only solution for them would be to physically turn the towers. So, I need a new radio.
I read this entire thread. I have a couple of questions.

Does this mean that, since I have a CDMA phone that uses a SIM card, I can only flash the two radios on Cmocex's patched radio thread? What does he mean when he says I must be security unlocked to flash radios from other phones?

This post makes it seem like I can download any of the radios in this thread except the Sprint radios?

but you can flash any radio for the tp2 no matter the carrier with a rom unlock. using other phones radios will need the security unlock.

What does it mean "using other phones"? Again this reply makes it sound like I can use any radio on this thread. I am worried though that Mr.X said to only use the Cmonex radios. And he also said that I need to be security unlocked.
Would someone please set me straight here so I can flash one of these radios and use my phone at my house?
