I don't know of a way to get different tones/notifications for text messages, only contacts.


The ring tones I use for individual contacts I copy to my phone after editing them:
I put my .mp3 files in the \Windows\ directory and in the \Windows\Rings directory depending on what I'm using it for.

You can then set different ringtones for different contacts by editing the contact and choosing your ringtone from the drop-down field "Ring tone:"

I'm sure everyone is aware of this, but threw it in here just in case.
