Thumbs down Re: For those experiencing the "failure to wake" issue...

Hi there,

I'm experiencing this "standby of death" or "crash in stadby", or whatever you want to call it, as well. I've had the phone sent back for a repair and got it back today. I'm hoping the problem is solved now but I have a bad feeling about this.

Now, I'm not a software programmer so I can only guess what's going on. But, couldn't it be possible that it has something to do with installing ".NET Compact Framework 3.5"? It does replace a number of system files from version 2.0. Maybe, the piece of software running behind this framework, inappropriately accesses pieces of hardware in the phone in the background which will eventually have phone crash/hang during standby. This a wild guess...

I was wondering if people who "claim" to have "no additional cabs" installed but do however get this crash, might have installed ".NET Compact Framework 3.5" (considering it a windows CE update rather than installing just a cab/program).

So my question: Are there people who have not installed .NET Compact Framework 3.5 but have their phone getting stuck in standby?

greetz...
