it's tricky - it relies on the sys-to-reg script to update the registry. I wasn't keen on it, as it took ages to get working on my device, in my next theme I'm planning a different approach, but you need to make sure sys-to-reg is running when you start your phone and it should update. there are more detailed instructions on the RLtoday forum which may help.
