(thankfully there's not much in it- the only thing that looks like crapware is intellisync which is probably verizon's wireless sync?). Anywho all th efiles are marked as read only and I can't remove anything. I use resco explorer and try to un-read only them and it doesn't work. I tried to create a little text file and then copy it to the extended room and I get access denied. so seems clear to me we can't mess with it.

One weird thing- and what I think Jim Smith means (feel free to correct)- is since it shows up as another SD card directroy- when I go to install now i get an extra choice- instead of install to device or sd card, it now asks install to device, sd card, or ext rom.

I'm guessin he 'installed' some things to the extended rom- but who knows where they really went. I'm too chicken to try myself. (windows newbie- longtime palm user so not so comfortable just yet...)
Michael, you're exactly right. I selected extended ROM to install some programs in, the installs were successful, and the programs run. I just looked and all that is there are the extra Sprint CABs. On closer examination, the programs I installed to extended ROM seem to have installed to my storage card. Sorry to have misled anyone.
