I guess it would need to be actions taken AFTER the sale. Suppose it was discovered how to get the gps enabled on the 6700 for instance. Anything the particular phone co. did to again disable the gps on the phones would not be legal in my view. Wasn't something like this done by Apple to the iphones that people unlocked?
It would be great if the Verizon 6800 got gps enabled though.
