If you are tapping menu and nothing is happening I am guessing you are tapping weather tab and have not activated from home tab.
Is that right?
Make sure to activate from home tab. |

yes i activated from the home tab, come back to the weather panel and tap the menu and nothing happens.  |
just to make sure we are on the same page, you are going to the home tab, then tapping menu, scrolling to bottom of menu and tapping enable my location, right? |
Did you tried changing background or haven't you???
