Hey guys,
Having a small issue...I donated then downloaded the sim-unlocker, unlocked my phone and it functions as I expect it to. When I switchover to GSM it asks for a PIN this is to be expected. I enter the pin and everything works fine. This PIN is requested everytime I switch to GSM or restart the phone. Since I only want to use GSM in emergencies I leave the phone on CDMA only under Phone Networks. Today I went to send a text message and when I hit send it asked for a pin number. I know I was in CDMA mode because I had EV. I saved the message to drafts and went to the Phone Networks setting again and verified it indeed was set to CDMA only. I went back to drafts and tried to send it and it happened again. This time I entered my PIN just to see what it would do and but an error popped up that said the phone wasnt ready. I then saved the message to drafts again and went back to the Phone Networks settings and clicked the dropdown and reselected CDMA only(even though it was already selected). The phone appeared to do something(dropped internet then reconnected). I went back to drafts and resent the message without an issue.
Any idea what happened? Its almost as if the messaging system thought I was in GSM mode but windows thought I was in CDMA mode. I did receive a text message and phone calls since the last reboot so I know this issue didnt affect incoming calls(or at least that I know of)
(I am running the stock sprint rom with only minor modifications, no modifications having to do with messaging other than the official released hotfix for 2016 datestamp issue)
