I was having the same lockup problems while arkswitch was running, especially when the phone was charging... I removed arkswitch from the startup folder and installed taskfacade ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=420220) and the problems have disappeared. I, personally, like taskfacade better anyway but probably just because I'm used to it. I also mapped holding the back button to bring up taskfacade.

No joy
Seems the only way I can make the phone stable is by not using Sense UI. Hopefully I have better luck with the next release.
