By your logic, there is no such thing as a hardware company. HTC is using qualcomm components so they aren't manufacturing it themselves. Sony has all sorts of 3rd party components in their tv's...
By the way- like I said, Microsoft has made hardware since at least the 1990's, and probably before then. If you disagree with that, then you are the one with the bogus posts. Anyone who has ever been to the Redmond Campus can visit Microsoft's little museum and see tons of hardware Microsoft has put out over the years.
I am typing this on a Microsoft keyboard that I have had for several years, by the way, and using a Microsoft mouse that I bought back in like 2000.
In fact, here's a link for you:
http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/25thanniversary.mspx
Copy and paste form that link:
"Microsoft Hardware was formed in 1982 to develop a device that would help people use the company’s new word processing program."
So they have been making hardware since 1982. That means you were wrong.

Qualcomm is not a hardware company. I dont know where this dude is getting his info. I stopped reading after the first sentence.
Microsoft started in 1975. I said that when they "started"
