Yea, must be a problemw with the Max Manila mods, because I'm not using the Max Manila version and can scroll all the way to settings in landscape.
Regarding battery, try using device a full day, to be sure the battery is "really" draining so fast. I've found sometimes it looks like things are draining fast, but during the course of a day sometimes it's not as bad as it first looks.
(I do keep a spare battery just in case
