I have never had this issue either. It appears that only a few people (like 2) have experienced probs with the player.
According to previous posts, most of us have not had that issue on any of NRG's roms. If anyone is holding off because they have concerns about this, i wouldn't worry about it and take the plunge.
The new rom is AWESOME. I am running Cookie Feb 16 and am amazed by the snappiness. The weather animations are smooth on the home page even while scrolling the quicklinks! Didn't think i would ever see that on the tp2! The only animation that crawls is the "sunny" one (and it definately CRAWLS). ALL of the others, however, seem like they are on crack!
