For people to say I can't wait to jump to Android, well its your opinion. But wouldn't you want to physically hold a phone running WP7 in your hands and test it out yourself before you put a negative spin on WP7?
I hear people saying it will not have multi-tasking and so on and so on. But Microsoft did not say anything about multi-tasking as of yet. As far as customization, I believe HTC said their phones will be unique in some ways. So I think customization will still be there, especially with the developers here at PPC Geeks and XDA.
We have not seen the business aspects of the phone yet, or the phone features itself. The conference was just to get the "big picture" out and the little details will begin to surface sooner or later. Hopefully at MIX.
I'm not a WinMo fanboy but I think WP7 has HUGE potential and upside. And I trust HTC will make this phone absolutely awesome. They always find a way to make their phones stand out.

It is the opposite, WM7 seems to be getting a lot of positive reviews and no one can figure out why...its like in an art galary with a piece of crap in the middle and everyone is going WOW and your like..am I missing something or is that just crap? (my guess bribes)
I am also never calling it Windows Phone and I prefer Windows Mobile, but after seeing that I'll just call in Mobile7..cause I dont even know why Windows is in the name anymore...
I actually like the fact that microsoft was setting standards for hardware as many windows phones got crippled and burned down..but what they showed in that demo was DOS with a UI..scratch that I'll take DOS any day over that.
I read somewhere Microsoft will not let OEMs customize the view..don't know if that is true though.
That thing will never EVER be in a Touch Pro model as those are aimed at business people and that OS is a dumbphone OS similar to whats on the Instinct or iPhone. That doesn't mean I would not give it a shot, but I am clearly unimpressed and my next phone will be an Android.
Microsoft is trying to compete with iPhone in the dumbphone market rather then try to innovate their OS like android is trying to do.
Also no multitasking and flash (its on the ppcgeeks front page)
as for Exchange..I am using Funambol and Zimbra and I find it better then exchange any day(can sync android, windows mobile,Blackbery,Symbian, and all the dumbphones). (but then again sometimes your corporation doesn't give you a choice)
And for the record I am still loyal to Windows Mobile, but just cause you took a piece of junk a labeled a windows mobile sticker on it does not mean it'll have my support.
