Re: Stock Rom Software Conflict

Have you tried starting Navigon after a soft reset?

I have use iGuidance forever. I upgraded to 6.5 right after Verizon released it. I then went on my first trip where I needed the navigation. iGuidance failed to announce street names using TTS, and after a while stopped working all together. I found that I could get iGuidance to work properly only after I did a soft reset.

I have since switched back to 6.1 because of the huge memory issues with 6.5. Memory usage would quickly spike to +75% after minimal usage. I would have to soft reset at least once a day (and of course any time I wanted to use iGuidance.)

Since switching back to 6.1 memory usage is under control, and I can use iGuidance without any problem. Your mileage may differ, but for me the switch back to 6.1 was the right thing to do. To bad too, because I really liked some of the features that 6.5 had to offer.
