I'll tell you this though- if I can't multi task, I'll be moving on. And if I can only install apps directly from the marketplace, I'll be moving on. And if I am forced to learn a new interface and buy all new apps anyway (basically starting over) then I will probably be moving on.
Especially now that SPB announced an Android version of Mobile Shell today. I will start over with all new apps, but keep the interface I am used to.

according to pocketnow.com and mobile tech world.com (who i've been following on twitter because they are at the conference) you will not be able to run any custom ui and your old apps will not work currently (but someone could always create an emulator) They haven't been able to clear up running 3rd party apps from elsewhere but its not looking good. windows has said this is a fresh start, you will be forced to learn a new interface and you will need new apps.
