Wipe it. If it fixes it let me know. Here is how you can wipe without a problem...

Make a nandroid backup.
Wipe.
Skip login stuff.
Send an mms to yourself.
Find out if it works then do a nandroid restore.
If I had my buddy's phone I'd try this.
