LoL. Well, you're totally right. I am not using all of them at the moment and may not ever fill all 3 pages. And yes, not just apps but contacts, bookmarks or whatever. What i do really like is being able to scroll the 4 links on the home page left or right. I have 4 media shortcuts, 4 gps/map shortcuts and then 4 games. I find it pretty handy and more imprtantly - i find it to be pretty cool.
At the moment i can fill up about a page and a half with complete crap. LoL. I could easily finish off the second page but would have to try pretty hard for the 3rd page. And, like you said, by the time you scroll to the 3rd page why not use the default windows menu? Truth is, i just prefer to group on the quicklink grid.
