1. In general is it wirth it out of the box? Basically if I dont customize the hero or flash it or whatever then is it still better than the diamond or wm?

2. Can someone give me a brief overview of what "booting" is and what that does? Is it like unlocking it for flashing?

3. How does flashing Hero/Android compare to flashing diamond/WM
1. I know you know me and have had discussions on the Diamond forum. Out of the box, the hero is leaps and bounds so much better than the diamond. For once you can keep your phone on and not have to reboot to fix lock ups and hangs. You will be impressed with the feel and look.

2. Its actually called "rooting" and it is the equivalent of unlocking on the diamond. Allows you to remove sprint bloatware and flash custom roms as well as many other features.

3. Flashing on the Hero is great. For the most part, you dont have to hard reset every time you want to flash a new rom. Some recommend a wipe before flashing because of new kernels and such but if you just flash custom rom on top of another without wiping, guess what, you dont have to reinstall all of your APPS!! They are still installed.

Sprint always gives a 30 day return period. Buy it, Try it and if you dont like it, Take it back, no harm no foul.
