Gary, you have posted the same issue about 3 times and myself and several other users have all confirmed that Google Maps is working fine.

You need to do 2 things:

Step 1: Go to Start>Tools>QuickGPS and download fresh satellite data.

Step 2: Open Google Maps and go to Menu>Options>Use GPS

San Franciso is the default shown map when you start Google Maps therefore it seems as though you have not enabled GPS within the Google Maps application. When I enable GPS using step 2, I get at least 10 satellites locked on and a GPS fix within seconds.
