So, if one was to use that GSM Sim card in an unlocked phone, there is no proof it wont work being as it is a GSM sim card, and has nothing to do with the CDMA technology.

Even if it was just using the universal Edge network, it would still technically work on an unlocked phone.

I have seen this asked before but no one has tried it, I have an iphone that I might unlock if my buddy will give it to me since it has been in my desk for a month now.

the answer is no. its not gonna work because that sim card that came in the phone is not activated. just because you were given a sim card, does not mean its activated and will work when you pop it in another unlocked phone here in the US right out of the box. so to finally get your answer and not have to deal with people who "does not know what they are talking about"...why not call sprint to get the international roaming sim that came with your phone activated and put it in an iphone?...then let us know if it works or not.

and lets remember that all the help/advice on this forum are given without hesitation by good samaritans. lets not slam their opinion/advice just because the response you got was not what you wanted to get/hear. its impolite to ask for help and then tell the people to only answer if they know what they are talking about. just remember, YOU are the one asking for help. and its a long road to the help you need if you cant be polite to the people thats willing to give you that help.
