READ THIS BEFORE YOU DL
This is a complete ROM. You WILL need to wipe and flash if you want to test.
We're not here to discuss the ROM, it's basically Stock so everyone's curiousity is now satisfied.
Do not flash this unless you are able to deal with a boot loop, or until you see feedback that says it flashes correctly. Just because it works here doesn't mean it works everywhere
Do I even need to say make sure you backup first?
It is Beta to let you know .
If you DL to provide feedback, here's what I need:
1. Did ROM flash correctly
2. Does WiFi connect correctly?
3. I need to contents of /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/scaling_governor
4. I need the contents of /sys/module/lowmemorykiller/parameters/minfree
5. I need the above BEFORE you install setcpu or echo anything to these files.
6. I need the files /system/init.d/gumbo.sh and /init.rc looked at by someone with Linux who can check the file permissions.
7. I need those files pulled and posted.
8. I need the stock messaging and mail (not gmail) app used along with their respective widgets.
9. I need Peep used along with the large widget.
10. I need Facebook logged in through social networks and contacts synced.
11. I need gmail, contacts and calendar sync'd.
12. I need Large favorite contacts used, and watched for incoming text or FB notifications.
Some explanation -
I have 5 or 6 people who regularly test my ROMs and other work. One of them posted a bad copy of Gumbo 1.5b and now I have a bunch of folks wanting to know where application X is. This is a bit more complicated, so I'm tossing it out like this with a warning to get feedback, then I will abandon it. You have been warned
The boot.img inside this ROM will not work for any other ROM. If it passes all tests, I am planning to release the boot.img, the wlan.ko module, and the entire ramdisk folder for integration into other ROMS. There are some issues with other custom scripts that make a "universal" version almost impossible. This way other ROM cookers can just make the necessary changes, reassemble the boot.img and go.
The file /system/init.d/gumbo.sh now controls the cpu gov that gets set at start, as well as the minfree settings. Pull this file and you'll see it's easy to change the values. I don't want to post the current values until I get someone to actually look and see if they are applied for them correctly.
