Re: So why do I feel like I bought the last of the Mohicans
Buying tech items is always like hitting a moving target. There will always be something bigger and better on the horizon. The balance you much achieve is having the latest technology, but understanding that the latest won't last very long. It's true HTC could have introduced better/next generation hardware on the TP2 platform. They likely could have extended the functional life of the device if the did so. The fact is the TP2 was basically IMO a make up device. It was created to address the deficiencies in the TP1 giving the same hardware platform and it did a respectable job at that goal.
I was one of the ones who paid full price for the phone - upgrade fees, and I can honestly say I am as happy with my phone now as the day I got it. I also understand that there are some new very nice phones about to hit the market this year. Smart phones in general have gone through an evolution within the past 12 months and their capabilities continue to grow at an almost exponential rate.
With all that being said, I think I can be happy with my device for another year or so and get the next device out there that satisfies my love with technology and allows me to keep my beloved legacy SERO plan.
