everyone should go with who has the best coverage in their area.
it's been pretty obvious you are disappointed with the sprint coverage where you are. i would fully expect you to jump ship.
Uh, I quoted Sonny Ericsson for a couple of reasons...
#1: They are a prominent phone manufacturer. If they are saying they don't think anyone will support the technology, they probably know what they're talking about.

#2: Sony Ericsson is actually running Sprint's network. So if they aren't competent enough to be trusted, then it's an even worse scenario for Sprint.

As for your statement about going with who has the best coverage, I have a few points on that as well...

#1: It doesn't matter who has the best coverage if you can't get even 1 single phone for the service. Why would I (or anyone else) care how good Sprint's coverage is if they don't have even 1 single phone?

#2: Some people already have 4G, yes, but they still don't have a phone to use with it, lol. And anyway, 4G is only launched in 10 cities. So it's not like the majority, or even a lot for that matter, have 4G. And with only 5 cities getting it in 2010, there is no reason for most of the nation to be excited about Sprint's 4G. And that is even if there was a phone that worked on it.
Again:

10 cities right now, 5 more in 2010. No phones. That does not even come close to T-mobile having 21 meg HSPA+ network wide by mid 2010.
