Re: ☢ ☢ ☢ ☢ ☢ [WARNING] - Tethering Users ☢ ☢ ☢ ☢ ☢

OK, I checked a few more things...I still don't get it. Would REALLY appreciate someone's help!

1) Is the hotfix included in the ICS and WModem cab in Mighty's post? If So OK

2) If it is not...

a) Can someone that has not installed either of these 2 files tell me if they have a IntShr.exe in their windows directory? I did not stock...

b) The Hotfix cab only has the IntShr.exe in it - there is no links created or reg modifications...so when you click the Internet Sharing link in All Programs it is calling IntShrUI.exe (if the hotfix IntShr.exe is in the ICS and WModem cab as IntShrUI.exe OK, I get it) ! So the hotfix cab installs a file but I would assume nobody is ever using it (unless you manually change the link and/or manually run the program).

Can anyone comment on this ???

The other thing I noticed, was the ICS and WModem cab tries to remove a bunch of reg entries from HKLM\SOFTWARE\OEM\Wmodem

I noticed that (on my phone anyway) the values WModemDUN and Connected cannot be deleted (they come back after a soft reset) both with a value of 0 (which is the stock setting).

Thanks,
Ryan
