Cannot truly remove/overwrite the files built into the ROM. They will overwrite, but technically they are still resident in ROM and will show back up if you remove the copy you wrote over the original with. So the short answer is no, you will have to wait for custom unlocked ROMs to replace them with Manila 2.5 stuff and take up less space.
