If you're using IMAP Gmail, as opposed to POP, you'll have to "trick" the Outlook Mail configuration process into offering up the settings options for an IMAP4 mail server (which aren't readily available otherwise). That's done by entering an obviously invalid email address (such as "g@g") when the setup asks for your full email address. After that, you'll enter the IMAP4 server name (imap.gmail.com), the SMTP server name (smtp.gmail.com), and check the box to send user name and password for authentication with outgoing mai
