I have 3 TP2’s and I’m selling them all, I’m so damn sick and tired of putting up with this garbage.
Take it from me, its best to learn a new OS like Android that is a lot better, more stable, and growing quickly than an end of life (EOL) phone like the TP2 with an antique OS like Windows Mobile (WinMo). Also, this WON’T upgrade to WinMo 7, so you’re just throwing your money away.
Take my advice, I tell it like it is, a lot of Microsoft employees visit these forums and try to BS you about how great WinMo is, but its all a lie, I’ve been using WinMo for many years and it just can’t compete any longer, that’s why they have forums devoted just for rom upgrades.

i think the point that fishingmedic is trying to say is, if you don't have anything nice to say, you don't have to say anything at all. we were taught this in grade school. now im not saying that you can't put your 2 cents in, but if you felt the need to say something, why can't it be put in a "constructive criticism" instead of being cynical about it? nothing wrong with having an opinion because everyone has them.
nikkig, based on what you said, you have extensive experience with winmo phones, what im wondering is why couldn't you give modmyppc a few pointers regarding his new winmo device? because he did ask for help. even if you were slamming the tp2 in the form of a constructive criticism, people wouldn't take offense. besides, your rant seems like it's with the device's OS. so why slam the device as well?? would you still talk the way you did if the tp2 was an android phone?
my point is, for modmyppc and myself, it's our first tp2 device. and since the nostalgia is still there, i think it's the best thing since sliced bread. would i eventually tire of the device? of course...but that's in the future. will i try to go android? wouldn't mind having a droid...again, in the furutre. what im saying is, although i've read bad and good things about tp2 on winmo, i'd like to be able to find out for myself what the device can and cannot do. because even though you have bad blood against winmo, you yourself don't know if i'll feel the same way about the device i have. let modmyppc experience the good, as well as the bad with winmo and his/her tp2.
just remember my friend, to each is his own.
