I had this happen to me on my Touch when I was running a cabbed version of Manila. One of the files got corrupted and kept Manila from launching. I did have to hard reset my phone. My guess is that either a file or a registry entry for TF3D got corrupted, preventing it from launching. If you could figure out what was damaged, you could probably replace the file, or possibly delete it to see if it was restored from ROM on a reset. Your safest bet is probably to hard reset, assuming that you checked that TF3D was enabled on your Today screen as mentioned above.
