you probably wont find the average CS agent being able to offer this, maybe not even retentions, though they would be a better shot.

If you didn't already know, Sprint will be changing your contract in Jan, subtracting some fees, then adding fees, which will allow you to terminate your contract w/ no ETF. This has been confirmed by Sprint CS, but I believe you must see the change on your bill 1st.

Call CS, tell them you want to cancel your service. They will transfer you to retentions. I did this very thing, but the retentions person pissed me off so I told them I'd call back. Instead of calling back, I emailed ecare, explained my issues (they had screwed up my account) told them I would cancel in Jan due to the fees if they didn't get it corrected. Ecare did straighten out the account, but a week later a guy called to make sure everything was resolved, and offered the Touch for $99 or Mogul for $150.

I'm don't think it was an "out of the blue" courtesy call but a follow up from from email to ecare.
