Re: Should I switch from WinMo to Android?

so OP have you decided?
I switched to the Samsung Moment because as I've said in other threads before...
Once you go slideout qwerty you'll never go back!!

Android is such a nice OS after using WinMo for many years I make the switch, even gave my TP2 away for free!!! (To my girlfriend)

WinMo is for users who are daily endusers (if you don't know what an enduser is you are one)
Android is for a someone who considers themselves a power user, sure you have to Root your phone to actually get SU, you don't have to Root the phone to get great enjoyment from it though... there are plenty of WinMo comparable apps on the Android.

Swype = Shapewriter http://www.shapewriter.com/

Want real Visual Voicemail without having to forward your phone? Yeah it's built in
Need to sync Exchange for your business email/contact/calendar/tasks? Got that too
How about syncing Google email/contacts/calendar? Again, got it
Barcode scanners are your thang?! Yup, gotcha covered
How about a flash for your camera? Yeah Samsung Moment has one too (I don't know about the Hero)
Like the flip clock with the weather? You can download a free widget for that.. although I haven't found an animated weather thingy like the TP2 has (yet)
So you say you'd like a scientific calculator... there's one of those too!
MP3 player? built in... shoot you can even play Ogg Vorbis
Dvix player? Yes that too, it's not free though
I like the default web browser, if you like Opera you can download it for free
Android Market is a really nice feature as well, you can search or look under catagories

The greatest thing I like is the fact that my Android device is touch only, no styli to loose or accidentally pocket dialing because your keys touched the darn screen!
