Re: How-To: Root your Droid

I've downloaded the root app > renamed to update.zip > installed it > but still don't have super user permissions.

su: uid 10104 not allowed to su

I know it's not the 2.0.1 update file because during the installation of it, it does say something along the lines of 'your phone is now rooted' before rebooting.

Any Ideas?

EDIT:

Couple things: App called 'Terminal Emulator' in market doesn't work on Droid. 'Android Terminal Emulator' does (and it appears with just 'Terminal Emulator' in the app list.)

adb shell is working for me so the droid is rooted... just don't have su access from the device itself. clearing the cached didn't work either.

EDIT 2: I found an update.zip file that gave me superuser permissions here: http://www.4shared.com/file/16976650...er_update.html

I'm good to go now.
