Glad to hear it works for you. There is a power switch for the adapter. If you turn it off, then your regular radio reception should improve. As fas as modifying your antenna wire, there are typically two types of connectors on the ends of antenna wire. There are adapters available at car stereo stores to convert from one to the other. The quality should be significantly better then a wireless fm modulator, especially in a high congestion signal area.
