I'm using it on a Sprint Touch Pro 2 with a Slingbox Classic. It's fine. Can't stretch the picture, and there is no portrait mode that I can find, but it's still way better than the old version.

HTC Touch Pro 2 is listed as compatible, and your Verizon Touch Pro 2 is pretty much identical to my Sprint. I can't imagine it wouldn't work. Probably just a mistake when they were listing devices...
