Hell, how hackable is a Samsung WinMo phone for that matter? It's one company that makes WinMo phones that's let this community thrive. HTC. Look at the upcoming amount of Android phones HTC is putting out, compared to WinMo. That alone should serve as some sort of gauge.
I think WinMo is finally dying, and it makes me very sad, as I've had WinMo forever, but I just don't see 7 being anything like the previous versions, hacking included.

Millions of people buy millions of electronic products and never "hack" them. Windows Mobile can easily survive without "hacking" if by that you mean custom ROM's. Which I don't see those dying off but if they did it would be because the demand has died not the devices because people are happy with them out of the box. But even in that case a customization community with custom apps and themes would still exist. The sky isn't falling people, calm down. I don't know why everyone wants to be the ones who "called the death of windows mobile" but some of you are trying way too hard. Let's just wait and see what happens.
