It's not possible that you knew you could buy it but didn't know it worked on the USA 3G. That version I linked to was made specifically for the USA 3G. There is another version made for Europe that does not work on USA 3G.
So if you knew that particular device existed, then you knew it worked on USA 3G.
The X10 has not even been released yet. It is not the dominant one when it hasn't even been released yet, lol. But rest assured, there will be an American version of it too. And you probably won't ever see a commercial for it either.
And it runs Android, not Windows Mobile. So don't even give me the "people just aren't interested in Windows Mobile" excuse for why we don't see any commercials for it.
See this link:
http://www.sonyericsson.com/cws/prod...10?lc=en&cc=us
It says:
"Networks
UMTS HSPA 800/850/1900 only available for phones sold in Americas (except Brazil) and Australia. UMTS HSPA 900/1700 not available for phones sold in Americas. UMTS HSPA 1900/2100 available worldwide."
As you can see, there is a version that has AT&T's 3G, and another version that has Europe's 3G. This thing runs Android- and I haven't seen a single commercial for it.
