No US manufactuer has made winmo phones because winmo is dead in the US, i'm sorry but its the truth. this is why we get whats left over. In the uk they have boatloads of winmo phones to choose from, if they manufactured those phones for the US those companies would only start loosing $, because they wouldn't sell enough handsets.

Of course the UK sells more Windows Mobile phones that the USA. Why? Because companies (HTC) actually try to sell them there. Like I said- people here are actually importing the Australian version of the HD2 because it works on AT&T's 3G. Yet I have not seen one single commercial for it, and HTC's website doesn't even mention anything about it working here.
There is no marketing whatsoever here for Windows Mobile, and no attempt to sell any.
By the way- you're wrong about Sony. They actually made Xperia's specifically for the USA and you can buy them right on the company website. They put an "a" in the model number (X1a, X2a) that means it is for America. See here:

Now they don't advertise them at all, but at least they sell them. HTC on the other hand, doesn't even pretend to care about the American public. They sell to carriers, and that is it. If the carrier doesn't pick it up we're just out of sight, out of mind.
