Thing about the iphone is if you jail beak it and put it on TMo, it doesn't have access to their 3G, since it's hardware/radio is incompatible, you're limited to EDGE for data. Oh and more dropped calls is the complaints i heard from friends with jail broken TMo iphones.
Also consider the way AT&T's network works, you can use DATA + Voice at the same time. It's not just a sales gimmick.
On the other hand the CDMA/GSM TP2 is hardware compatible and really is a world phone. You could unlock it and take advantage of any other carrier's network (except Boost Mobile/Sprint's own iDen ofc).
