This is due to it using different manila files for the clock notification singles then what it used to.
If I recall correctly. on 2.1, it is specific to your clock.
In other words, I believe it is part of the image used for the tab stack for the clock.
So it would require whatever tabs you want to use, to be modified. One cab won't work for everyone, as it would change your clock tabs to something unexpected. Hope that makes sense.
The clocks Pegasus posted are modified this way, I believe.
