The slider is so far out of calibration, I can't slide it. I really want Android to work on my RAPH800, but I'm back to using my Touch. Almost everything "just works" on the Touch: GPS, camera, calls, sms, internet, keyboard (on screen), the Market, etc. I'm going to get out my laptop again, so I can format the blinking SD card. I'll try again...
did you check while it was booting to see if the lines with 'touch_calibration' came up between the loading of ramzswap and A N D R O I D showing up on screen (before the Nexus One boot animation starts)?

maybe it wasn't loading the eclair.user.conf correctly. If it was, maybe your device has a very different calibration, which would be somewhat surprising to me. Once again, I don't know why this is causing so much trouble, but when the real calibration tool comes along, it should improve things markedly.

And I'm with you on the Touch. First of all, it's a better form factor -- such a nice feeling phone. And then how everything just works in Android is just amazing. Wish it had more ram/storage/better proc/accelerometer/etc.
