After checking memory.

1) setup outlook email and closed
2) download new quickGPS data and closed
3) ran Task Manager once and closed
4) set power management backlight to auto
2) setup weather (update every hour)

Checked memory again and it was at 46.34MB

opened outlook email to see if it sync'd (it hasn't) and closed

memory now at 36.40 MB

Opened task Manager to see processes

Now memory at 35.97 MB

I don't know what the hell is wrong, but this is stupid.
