Read independent testing about Avira and you'll see that it gives numerous false positive reports about potential malware, your case being one of them. As many have stated, it doesn't contain any harmful code and the method in which it works is why it's likely being detected (downloading data, accessing hardware ports, etc.). If you're getting random resets or random hard resets, or experiencing odd issues with your device, then update the HSPL as it may solve these issues. Otherwise, you can leave your device as is or update anyway. Updating the HSPL does not hard reset your phone, so if you do update, you won't have to reconfigure your device or anything.
