All of your photos, videos and contacts are synced to their servers regularly, and you can access all of your information through their very cool website, as well as give people you want access to your photos/videos like Flickr. You can also email or SMS any of your contacts right from the website. Best of all, if you lose all of that information...it is right there, ready to be synced back to your phone.
