MaxManila 2.8 should work fine on the latest(1/14) manila 2.5 release of EnergyROM.
FYI the 2 ROMs that I've found on which MaxManila does NOT work(there may be others) are MightyROM 2.5 and Silence's HDFL. Hopefully Mike will update his ROM, but don't hold your breathe for Silence anytime soon. He's got an iPhone now
so he's not doing anymore TP2 ROMs in the near future.
I've used MaxManila on Energy's, Deck's SSS and Calkulin's ROM's so far, without issue.
