I had a good experience with my TP2 while I am in Malaysia and Singapore.

Before you go anywhere, do some research on the best prepaid SIM card plan.

Look for something with GPRS, meaning it can do data. Dont forget 1kb per 10 cents is not much.

I tether using my TP2 and I am able to surf on my laptop.

You have to do some tweaking on your TP2 because sometime the default might not choose the right setting.
