This issue, so far, cannot be replicated with any regularity. It seems to happen randomly, though I think you are the first person who has had it happen to their own ringtones. So sorry, no fix. I thought it was gone in my release from early this morning, but I guess not.

No, I have never had the 2016 bug. You can download it if you need/want it though from HTC.
