how do you check when your phone was manufactured? I used to know but forgot.

I just got my replacement tp2, the battery seems to have changed from the first tp2 i owned. the first tp2 i had was mfg around sept/oct. the battery had a matte cover on both sides and on the backside had silver edges where the cover met. the new batter is shiny on one side, matte on the other and doesn't have seams that fold onto the backside with the silver edges. just thought it was interesting.
