Actually I would disagree, to a point. I think we should have one thread with all of the software that is essential for all Android users (like the threads in the software and device forums). I am currently working on the initial post for such a thread, listing a number of apps. Then, as more people add apps to the thread, I can update the main post.

I also think if we are having problems with a specific software title, that should also be a new thread. But people adding their ideas about software, to current threads, I think is good. It will still come up on a search.

I dunno, I digress.
