On Fedora 8, I just tell NetworkManager to connect to a wireless network, my phone shows up in the list, select it and I'm on. The downside is the phone won't be charging through the USB port.
Yeah, this is an old laptop. It doesn't even have wifi... however, my PSP does. Yeah, i carry lots of crap with me: my ppc 6700, psp, Nintendo DS, old Toshiba laptop, 30gig video ipod, and my "talking phone" which is a samsung a900. I have quite the backpack full of cables and such. And that is just my load out for going to work. I don't like being bored.
