I was just making a general observation with 3.5mm headsets. I have a
blackberry 3.5mm stereo headset, and I am using MightyROM 1/13 release. When I use the manila music player the button plays/pauses the music. A long press of the button activates voice command. A double tap opens the phone app and calls the last number dialed. If I have the dialer open one press calls the last number dials or hangs up if in a call.
I am guessing the headphones you bought were designed for the iphone 3gs, therefore has volume control buttons and probably won't work for the tp2 at all (mic probably doesnt work, and other functionality is probably crippled).
Like I said before if the control has volume buttons it probably means no good for TP2. (seems like stuff will only work if there is just 1 button)
